I am a Senior Software Engineer currently working at WSO2. I'm part of the Integration Team, where we build an amazing free and open-source low-code platform and programming language for developing integrations.
In my free time, I enjoy working with electronics and embedded systems to build interesting projects (at least for me).
Beyond coding, I am passionate about photography—capturing every moment I find cool and express unique.
As a Senior Software Engineer at WSO2, I continue to work on the Micro Integrator team, focusing on developing integration solutions for microservices and cloud-native applications. My role involves designing and implementing scalable, high-performance integration solutions that cater to the evolving needs of modern enterprises.
Involved in the development of the Ballerina programming language, an open-source project focused on simplifying integration through a code-first approach. This role required a deep understanding of both software design and network communication protocols, enabling me to significantly impact the evolution of this integration-centric programming language.
Conducted research in the area of "EEG Based Emotion Recognition". Applied concepts such as Digital Signal Processing, Time Series Processing, Algorithm Optimization, and various Deep/Machine Learning approaches.
A proctoring platform for mass examinations with optimized resource usage. Consists of web, desktop, and mobile applications implemented using various JavaScript-based frameworks.
Achievements: Best tertiary student project in APICTA 2021 among 1000+ projects from 16 countries. Also won TAD Hack Global 2021(Telnyx), NBQSA, and SLASSCOM awards.
A smart CCTV NVR solution with fire detection capabilities. Implemented a Convolutional Neural Network for real-time image analysis with an accuracy of 93%.
Achievements: Won TIGC 2022, TAD Hack SriLanka 2022 and OpenHack 2021.
An AI-based violence, abuse, and rape detection application for women and children. Employed faster R-CNN model as a deep learning algorithm and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients for feature extraction.
Achievements: South East Asia(SEA) finalist of ImagineCup 2021. Won first place in HackAI (AI and ML Hackathon).
